We want to share an important update with all prospective applicants: Our Family Medicine Residency Program, Médicos de El Centro (New Mexico Primary Care Training Consortium), will be closing on December 31, 2025, due to the unexpected loss of a major financial partner.

Despite the tremendous dedication of our faculty, residents, and community partners, we are unable to continue operating the program beyond this date. We are deeply grateful for the applicants who have shown interest in training with us, and we want to be transparent as you make decisions about your future. While we will not be participating in the upcoming recruitment cycle, our priority now is supporting our current residents as they transition to new programs where they can continue their training and remain committed to caring for New Mexico’s communities.
